crap! it's 2007!

how did that happen?!

well, truth be told, one rather disorderly evening last week in london, but is it me or did it seem like the new millenium just moments ago?

so we are flush with new resolutions... rohan is going to loose some weight and i am going to take more sickies!

but anyway, ALOT has been going on since we last wrote. well alot for us folk from east grinstead. we've had christmas and a trip to berlin and new years and i roasted a chicken for public consumption! lots.

christmas was a cosy affair at my aunts in the lovely town of henley-on-thames. lots of laughter and good food and presents in front of an open fire. good times.

before that we spent MY BIRTHDAY weekend in berlin...a really interesting city. although i think at night everyone was hibernating and were probably wise to as it was bloody cold. we drank gluwein with rum and ate bratwurst at the gorgeous christmas markets and admired all the architecture and did lots of walking around the city seeing various sites from the cities past. it was sobering but important to be reminded so vivedly how unchecked evil can end up...

we have a couple more weeks at work and then we are off to morocco for a couple of weeks!

so happy new year all of youse - hope it brings all the good stuff.

back for more

we have been back in ol' blighty for a week now so, yes it seems we have come back for another year!
i was just starting to get my world the right way up when we had our work christmas party (part 1) and i feel like crap again.
australia seems like a distant memory now and it doesnt help that we took very few photos - so we have no pics of little but long tenzin, all our friends in sydney, or mum!! : ( i dont know how that happened? quite a few of the wedding although i am not too happy about the way i look in them (i'm sure i was much more gorgeous in real life) but then, it wasn't (all) about me!
the weather has been mixed here - mostly grey, cold and windy but yesterday was sublime. we went on a cruise along the thames which was actually pretty awesome - and there was a free bar which eased the pain of being stuck on a boat with your work colleagues for 5 hours (slightly).
anyway, i know people log on to this not to read my boring observations but to see photos.
so...
oh - before i go - very exciting news that the waifs are touring australia next march/april!!!! so i advise you to all go out and get tickets now! they are doing the west/east coast blues & roots anyway. and yes, i am considering flying back to catch a gig (rohan would kill me)
and i wanted to plug a group i saw when i was back - angus and julia stone - (brother and sister) everyone in australia probably knows them already, but i thought they were awesome and i recommend catching a gig if they are in your area www.angusandjuliastone.com.au i think. another group for me to get obsessed with seeing as the waifs seem to be a bit part time these days.

if you can see- this is the wedding chapel - gorgeous!

hmmm...not so gorgeous

aunty sue, sarah, jane and me - strong but v.different genes in each family.

another one in my 'rohan pretending to be a pole' series (pt willunga)
