out and about in sussex

hello all,
at the moment we have some visitors to east grinstead - rohan's parents!
we had a lovely weekend exploring the countryside -
went to the southern downs, near where the seven sisters are...
impressive white cliffs and rolling green hills - it really is a strange landscape.
there were quite a few crosses marking where people had decided to end their lives by flying off the cliffs into the ocean.
Then we made our way to the tiny village of Alfriston and stopped for lunch in an even tinier village for lunch. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we sat out in the beer garden and it was really lovely.
sort of a pity that it was the area that i had recently been looking at at work..
work has gone crazy in the last few weeks - heaps to do.
i even got to go out in the 'field' for a couple of days - went with another aussie chick. we staying in a thatched cottage overnight - quite a civilised field trip really.
anyway, rohan is champing at the bit to get home so i had better sign off.
hope anyone who is still reading this is doing well!
we are trying to get broadband at home and when that happens hopefully i will be able to upload photos!
lots of love
ainslie
